The Teton are divided into seven tribes, which were formerly gentes. These
are the Sitcanxu (Sicangu), Itaziptco (Itazipco), Siha-sapa, Minikooju
(Minikoozu), Oohe-nonpa (Oohe-nonpa), Oglala, and Hunkpapa.
